Compulsory Third Party InsuranceThird Party Insurance (CTP) is compulsory in Australia, and to ensure it is taken out, you MUST pay the premium at the same time as the annual rego fee for the vehicle. Australia has it in three parts: Rego, CTP, and Insurance An example of one cars is: •$263 Registration. •$308 CTP •$525 Comprehensive Insurance ($10,000 agreed value) Or in English.... •$263 CarTax •$833 Insurance CTP is a compulsory Third Party Insurance, andin most States, if not all, has to be arranged with or before your Rego. CTP cover is not included in the comp cover, so it is not paid twice. CTP only covers personal injury, it DOES NOT cover damage to other property, cars etc.
