so anyway , our landlady has decided that she wants her house back and with the lack of available work in the sydney area , we have decided to do a bit of travelling/sightseeing with some friends that have been living in the city , we have initally planned to do up the east coast for a month and see where we end up after that , i purchased a 2nd hand mitsubishi pajero 4x4 today and i am going looking at camping gear tomorrow and other little essentials , i find www.gumtree.com.au pretty handy for the camping stuff , and there is also the likes of kmart which is downstairs in the eastgate shopping centre in bondi junction , they have a huge selection of everything in there , its like dunnes stores / penneys/ guineys / all rolled into one and then add a bit more !!
the next month is gonna be a testing time for all as the longest i have camped before was for 4 nights at the oxegen festival and that was pretty hard on the brain to say the least , but im really looking forward to it at the same time as it is something that i always wanted to do .

so today i met 2 of australia's most famous , and they are not even of the human form !!!
firstly i got stung all over my face and neck by a bluebottle jellyfish. these dudes are pretty small and pack a nice sting to go along with it , i was out bodyboarding and zipping along nicely on a wave , next thing i can feel this sting on my neck , i went to shower by the beach and wash it with fresh water , little did i know he was still stuck to me hence such a sting , the pain went away after an hour or so !!.

so then , the mardi gras has been and passed , it was good fun with lots of colour thrown in for good measure also.
there was an estimated 800 000 people there for the festival parade. i even had some gay dude annoying the shite outta me for about 3 hours , he kept shouting "potatoes" thinking it was funny , it was for about 5 minutes and the next 3 hours were like being slowly tortured , but besides that it was a good day !!.
